The Gene Prediction tool - GeneAlign : submit a pair of sequences and gene annotation for coding exon alignment and prediction

The server is currently configured for human and mouse.

Restrictions:

1. Currently only DNA sequences of 200,000 or fewer bases  will be processed.

2. The gene annotation will be processed only the CDSs retrieved from the second sequence are complete.

Please make sure that the feature type of coding exons in the annotation is "CDS".

3. The description line in FASTA should be ">seqname   position   strand_for_prediction" (see Help).

Only DNA sequences are retrieved from the forward (+) strand and with proper chromosome position, the prediction results can be accurately viewed on the UCSC Genome Browser. If the first sequence is retrieved from mouse genome, the "seqname" must start with "Mm".
